New Website, New Domain

Dragon Digital are pleased to showcase our brand new website, and a transition away from the teamdragon.co.uk** domain to the dragondigitalgroup.co.uk **domain.

  When we first decided to merge our businesses and start Dragon Digital, we quickly registered our teamdragon.co.uk domain and I threw together a quick holding website. It was as basic as they come, with the intention being that I would come back to it soon and get something more substantial set up.   As long as the page contained our services, things like our Managed IT Support services and a little bit about us, I was happy that we at least had something in place to last us the next couple of weeks.   Well, things took off pretty fast and before I could even think of setting aside the time to get a proper website set up, the work (and clients) starting coming in… fast.   So for the next 14 months, we did nothing but grow, nothing but take on new clients, nothing but build out business, and we did it all without a website even being listed on Google. Imagine that?

Team Dragon

The image of two dragons that we had on our first home page. It was a client actually, who gently suggested that we look at reshaping our website, and asked why we were called Dragon Digital, but our domain an email address was Team Dragon. They themselves had a similar journey and found that just improving their website alone saw their organic reach nearly 10x in the space of a few months.   That nudge had us sit down and realise that a website is our online shop front. Of course, it’s our expertise and level of service that really speaks to our clients and potential clients about us, but a bad website could be the difference of us even getting our foot in the door with said client, and so we got on with the task of rebranding, revamping and relaunching.   I use the word relaunch… it’s definitely a quiet launch. We’ve not posted about it anywhere because frankly we don’t really think it’s that important, but I wanted to at least announce it on the website itself.   Team Dragon initially felt right for us because we were quite literally “teaming up”. Dan and I had both been running our own independent and sucessful IT Support businesses for many years before merging into Dragon Digital, but as we’ve matured, as we’ve taken on more clients and as we’ve refined our offering, we’ve decided to transition from teamdragon.co.uk to dragondigitalgroup.co.uk – a domain we feel better represents us as a company, sounding less like a side project and more like the professional, dependable, and growing IT managed service provider we truly are.
